On the night of July 18, 2010, Terry Bailey was helping a friend push off a motorcycle that wouldn't start. It was just before 10:30pm. The two men had been at Lucky's Bar and were pushing the bike nearby on Cummings Highway. Once the motorcycle started, Bailey began walking back towards Lucky's.
When Bailey didn't return to the bar, worried friends began to look for him. They found the 48-year old lying in the middle of the road, where he had been hit by a car.
It was dark along that stretch of Cummings Highway and investigators suspect the driver may not have seen Bailey, who was wearing black.
The suspect, described by witnesses as a heavy set white woman with short brown hair, didn't appear to hit the brakes. She was driving a Mercury, but witnesses couldn't make out the color.
