JEIMY ESPERANZA BAQUERO
In December 2019, the Hamilton County Grand Jury indicted Jose Angel Lopez Hernandez for the murder of Jeimy Baquero. Hernandez remains at large. It's believed he is living in Mexico.
On Thursday, August 4, 2011, the badly beaten body of Jeimy Baquero was found inside the closet of a rental house at 4103 Shady Oak Drive in Ooltewah.
The 34-year old hairdresser had no enemies. Her friends knew her as a kind and generous spirit.
When detectives interviewed the owner of the house where Jeimy's body was found, they learned he'd recently evicted the tenant, Jose Angel Lopez Hernandez.
Investigators later issued an arrest warrant for Hernandez, who's also used the aliases Carlos Frausto and Renee Hernandez, for Jeimy's murder.
It's believed Hernandez fled to Mexico.
Jeimy left behind one son, Felipe. He was a high school senior when his mom died.
He went to college and stayed in the Chattanooga area because he believes that's what his mom would've wanted him to do.
Someone out there may be able to give us an answer to the question most important to him: Where is Jose Hernandez?
