JAMES JORDAN
January 16, 1989, an employee of Franklin Strickland Funeral Home arrived for work at 8:00am.
Inside the Rawlings Street business he found the nude body of 41-year old James Jordan.
Jordan had been stabbed repeatedly.
Police later learned Jordan was a former employee who kept a key to the funeral home and was known to be there late at night after business hours.
He would often pick up people and take them to the funeral home for socializing and sexual activities.
Investigators discovered clothes spread around the room where Jordan's body was found, suggesting possible sexual activity the night he was murdered.
His car was found in the parking lot of the funeral home but the keys, and Jordan's wallet, were missing.
