JENNIE MANSON

Just after midnight, Friday morning, May 7, 1999, 49-year-old Jennie V. Manson was found dead in her home at 2205 Milne Street.

She had been shot once in the head. Her purse was emptied on her bed, an indication that robbery may have been the motive for her murder.

Investigators learned Jennie was last seen alive around 10:30 the night before at a “good time house” located at 2100 Rawlings Street.

Witnesses there said a man showed up and asked her when she would be leaving. Jennie told others she would "be right back" then drove away in her Ford Taurus. She never returned to the Rawlings Street house.

Jennie's grandson came home less than two hours later and found her dead.

The man who showed up to talk to Jennie Manson at the Rawlings Street good time house is a potential suspect in the murder. He was described as a  black man in his late 20s or early 30s, about 6' tall, with a medium build and medium complexion. He was wearing a dark colored athletic shirt.

Original Investigating Agency: Chattanooga Police Department
