WILLIAM PINK OWENS
74-year old William Pink Owens was found bludgeoned to death in his living room at 911 South Holly Street on June 16, 1992.
Owens, known to his neighbors as "One Legged Bill," had an unusual relationships with several prostitutes. He allowed hookers to bunk with him and perhaps engaged in some of their services. Several women who worked the area streets told police Owens allowed them to rent bedrooms in his house for $5 at a time.
Investigators suspect Owens was killed by someone who mistakenly believed Owens was a pimp with a lot of cash on hand.
