CECIL TIMMONS
At 3:30am on June 12, 2011, police were called to College Hill Courts on a reported shooting.
They arrived at 1337 Cypress Street Court to find 20-year old Cecil Timmons shot in the chest. An ambulance crew rushed Timmons to an emergency room but he was pronounced dead on arrival. Eyewitnesses to the shooting told investigators Timmons was in a crowd of about 20 people at the intersection of Cypress Street Court and Maple Street Court when a white, four door car circled the block and then came back with its headlights off. Two or three men got out of the car and at least one of them opened fire, hitting Timmons. |
Timmons made it a couple of steps before collapsing.
A medical examiner found about a dozen abrasions on Timmons' body, indicating he was in a fight shortly before he was shot to death.
